From Tom in Sierra Leone: Sidafa Kamara – Jan. 2, 2016

20151231-001Sidafa Kamara and his mother, who had come from a remote village, spent the night before New Year’s Eve in the lorry park, where public transport vehicles rest, because they had run out of money and could not pay for the last 100-mile segment of their journey from the capital city, Freetown, Sierra Leone, to Makeni to seek help at the Holy Spirit Catholic Hospital. Fortunately, the driver was persuaded to release them, and more fortunately, Sidafa is scheduled in two weeks to have surgery to repair his cleft lip, at Africa Surgery’s expense.
